Janice Phayre

Janice Phayre

"A skilled actress, Phayre dominates the room through sheer force of personality.with energised, impish charm, she passionately describes, and mimes the reactions that news receives shrieking, like her compatriot Graham Norton, with mock-outrage at her own boldness..she's simply a force to be reckoned with." - Chortle

"Janice Phayre slim, petite, extremely impish, and shows off some of her bottom. It's the start of a blissfully funny set.as much naughtiness as she can get away with (a lot). It's all delivered from a wholly innocent-looking (though mischievous as a pixie's) face - breathlessly - with large round eyes accessorised by remarkably mobile eyebrows. Wonderful, just fabulous." - Fringe Review

Mark Felgate

Mark Felgate

Mark Felgate is a man with unique talents. His startling abilities as a ventriloquist, combined with a wickedly daft sense of humour, have helped him become a sought after act on the stand-up comedy circuit.

5th November 2011 - STEVE HALL UK TOUR!!

Steve Hall

Steve Hall

Probably best known as being a third of the We Are Klang sketch group, Steve Hall is a superb stand-up in his own right and has provided support for Russell Howard on three of his sell-out national tours. Steve has been called a Steve Coogan 'lookalike and soundalike', which makes sense as they are distantly related through a convoluted web of Irish cousins. Hecklers tend to think Steve looks more like Mr Bean. Daily Telegraph Comedy Awards 2003 and BBC Comedy Awards 2003 runner-up.

He has had further plays produced at the Liverpool Playhouse and at London's Latchmere theatre and 'Six pack' (a play co-written with Mickey Hutton) will premier in London in 2007.

His extensive sporting knowledge makes him well suited as a regular panelist on BBC Radio 5 Live's 'Fighting Talk' and he is also a writer on the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards and was co-writer (with Barry Cryer) on the BBC's 'Stand-up Show'. He has also written material for many well known personalities including; Jonathon Ross, Phill Jupitus and Mark Lamarr.

Felix Dexter

Felix Dexter

Felix Dexter is an award winning comedian writer and actor. He is a law graduate and a member of one of the Inns of Court. This legal background is extremely useful in his standup comedy career, enabling him to baffle hecklers with the depth of his legal knowledge.

Felix has appeared to much critical acclaim in BBC2’S recent eight part character sketch show Bellamy’s people.

His TV credits include such landmark shows as: The Real Mc Coy, The Fast Show, Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge, Have I Got News For You, The Lenny Henry Show, Grumpy Old Men (over 35, just got in) and playing Saffy’s boyfriend in the last series of Absolutely Fabulous.

Felix has also performed many straight acting roles in shows as diverse as The Bill, Casualty, Vanity Fair and Empire (broadcast on ...The Hallmark channel) in which he played “MAXIMUS” leader of the lost legion... oh yeah. In the theatre roles have included a season with the Royal Shakespeare Company playing Autolycus in The Winter’s Tale and at the National Theatre alongside Helen Mirren in Mourning Becomes Electra.

Neil McFarlane

Neil McFarlane

Neil McFarlane has been performing on the Scottish comedy circuit for four years, and people are now quite regularly paying him to do so. Otherwise he refuses to vacate the stage. Lately he's also been gigging in the north of England, inspiring widespread panic. He writes all his own stuff (as far as he knows), has never considered dyeing his hair or changing his name, and is still wondering what happened to Level 42.

Relentlessly and unspeakably middle class, Neil has given up claiming in his act that he comes from Glasgow because he actually comes from Bearsden, which is a posh suburb of that city and therefore doesn't count. He has a reasonable day job, comes from a very secure and stable background with a good education and a high standard of living, and his parents are both still alive and happily married - all of which, from the perspective of artistic integrity and creative angst, are matters of intense irritation to him.

Michael Ayres

Michael Ayres

A Kiwi comedian with classic one-liners!

Matt Price

Matt Price

Matt Price was born and raised in Cornwall but now lives in London and works throughout the UK at weekend clubs as well as the University circuit and many independents. He has also played to audiences in Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates including the Abu Dhabi Hilton. He still makes it 'down home' to Cornwall from time to time, and occasionally comperes a gig in St.Ives. He is resident compere at the Phoenix comedy Club in Cardiff.

He has a proven ability to adapt to his audience. He can be affable compere, stand-up comic or storyteller, depending on the circumstances … often all three at the same time. Matt's material mutates to suit the mood of the room. In fact he never does *exactly* the same set twice because the gags, the stories, the anecdotes are linked on the fly with improvisation and banter. Neither does he always confine himself to the stage – in fact, he's been known on occasion to deliver half the set standing in the middle of the audience.

5th June 2011 - JUNES GEMS!!

Geoff Norcott

Everything Geoff Norcott does is under-pinned by enthusiasm, optimism and a sharp comic mind. On television, Geoff’s profile continues to rise with urge using his sharp one-liners and becoming a popular feature of all manner of debates including many topical and sports related shows. 3rd April 2011 - APRIL FOOLS

Steve Gribbin

Steve Gribbin

Steve Gribbin is a diminutive guitar-wielding satirist from Liverpool whose scabrous comedy songs and off the wall observations have made him one of the firm favourites of the comedy circuit. Steve's original comedy songs combine razor sharp lyrics with tunes that put their foot in the door of your mind and refuse to leave. Firmly based in rock 'n' roll and refusing to pull no punches, these are not the 'oh so witty' ditties of penguin-suited plink plonk piano playing posh gobs. They are that rarity - comedy songs which are actually funny.

For nine years Steve was the smaller one in the dynamic comedy duo Skint Video, stalwart's of the Edinburgh Festival, appearing on countless television programmes such as Saturday Live, radio such as The Mary Whitehouse Experience, and their own show in 1992/3 Songlines (BBC Radio 1). Skint Video went their different ways in 1993, since when Steve has been storming across the UK and Ireland as a solo artiste.

Noel James

Noel James

"Liberates the lunatic side to our personalities - brilliantly!" - Time Out

"Stands out like a droll giant in a comedy land of trite dwarfs" - The Independent

"Huge fan!" - The Sunday Times

"Absolutely Hilarious!" - HTV & Wales on Sunday

Noel James' credits are too numerous to list in full so we asked him to write his own biography to give you an idea how this bizarre mans brain ticks.

"My name is Infact Noel James, although I never pronounce the Infact…"

Craig Murray

Craig Murray

Hailing from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire (a town otherwise famous for international terrorists, fake kidnaps and 'Britain's Best Market'), charming northerner Craig is currently one of the hottest rising talents on the comedy circuit.

Craig cut his comedy teeth as resident compere at award-winning London club "The Funny Side..." of Covent Garden sharing a stage with some of the very best comedy acts in the business including Harry Hill, Stewart Lee and even Hollywood legend Robin Williams. He rapidly became a master of the compere's art; able to turn any crowd from a lacklustre mob into a clapping, cheering, delirious audience ready to laugh all night.

Dan Bland

Dan Bland

Dan Bland brings a touch of darkness to the comedy circuit. His morbidly deadpan disposition owes more to a grumpy undertaker than a genial stand-up comedian. But that funereal facade belies a devilish comic mind that has beguiled countless audiences. Delivering explosive one-liners with razor-sharp precision, deadpan Dan unfailingly ensures that he is the only person in the room to keep a straight face.

“Dan Bland is like a slow-burning explosive. His deliberate monotone delivery lulls you into a false sense of security, until you suddenly realise you’ve been hit in the face by a rapid-fire round of blistering one-liners.” Worksop Guardian.

NOVEMBERS LAUGHS (7th Nov 2010)

IAN MOORE

Ian Moore

A thinly veiled contempt for all forms of physical exertion and an open adoration of all things Mod, Ian was recently voted by fellow comedians as 'Man most likely to run amok with a firearm'. Fortunately this hasn't stopped him achieving great success on the London and National circuits where he has spent the last two years supporting the likes of + LEE EVANS, + JACK DEE and + MARK LAMARR.

Ian's laconic observations on life, from the problems of using the wrong vocabulary in a German Pizza Hut to an almost pathological hatred of open-toed footwear, have proved hugely successful with live audiences.

In 2003 Ian was one of only seven British comics selected to appear at the pinnacle of all comedy festivals - Montreal's Just For Laugh's. Alongside the likes of Jimmy Carr, Ian performed in the sellout Britcom showcase proving to be such a success he subsequently went on to headline the Worldcom show at the festival's finale.
